THE RULES/ELEMENTS of the Challenge and a CALL FOR REQUESTS for few remaining slots

Bluezy's Fabulous Challenge Art /Badge. :D
THANKS, Bluezy!!!!
In case you didn't recheck the previous post, I've added a few challengers. We're up to 10 as of 6pm on 12/23.   I plan to enjoy my holiday with hubby and family, so I don't expect to do much bloggy-wise until after Tuesday (hubby has a couple of days off post Xmas).

I rather like the rules I added to the  previous post, so that's how it will be. I only need to add the refinements, details, and I'll do that after Christmas. Pretty much: Those in the previous post will be the rules.

I added a briefer recap of the rules/elements to a list on the left sidebar. Peruse it. Recheck it for additions prior to the start of the challenge on 12/31/11.

I will give more info about the buddy system I plan to implement to keep us accountable and not missing deadline linkies. :D For now, know that this will be a more rigorous challenge than the previous because of that, but it will still be about YOUR goals and measures--you set them, not me. I just keep you accountable. That's all.

We are up to 10 challengers as of right now. I added some folks who were consistent from the CDCC, and who I believe will profit healthfully from the E2E. People I believe will respect the rules and stick it out to the end.

I won't allow more than, maybe 18. 20 absolute tops. I'd prefer we kept it down to 14-18. I do believe fewer--but more committed--challengers means we can support each other better, get to know each other better, and thereby give better targeted support. It's a hard journey--be it maintenance, losing, relosing, toning up, getting over binge issues or other eating issues. It's hard. We need to have each other's backs.

Okay...this is the post for you to add a comment if you wish to make a request to join the E2E, that is, if you haven't been added to the blogroll at right.

Know this: I give priority to folks who've stuck out challenges (sans quitting), who have optimistic blogs that help others, who are consistent bloggers with accountability and honesty. I adore people who are supportive. If you are a negative nelly, a bummer, a sporadic and inconsistent blogger, and have quit challenges--I am not the challenge leader for you. Really, you'll just irk me and I'll holler at you.

Make sure your blog is working. Make sure you can comment. If you have issues with Blogger, open a free blog on Wordpress or another host and make sure you are able to participate. Blogger had glitches in the last challenge, and it was frustrating for some. Fix that issue before 12/31, yes?

If you want someone who is 100% on your side to win your battles, who will be really honest and kick ya in the butt (kinda tactfully sometimes), who won't be happy if you give up on yourself, and who expects you to be totally genuine, even if you're struggling, who will never make fun of your efforts, who wants you to be your best--I'm here.

If I have a slot open and I don't know you, I will check your blog to see if you're 1. a consistent blogger, 2. an honest blogger, 3. are really working on issues, even if not making much progress yet. If you don't have a blog, forget it. Don't ask to join, K?

Angela Pea is the co-lead for this (see blogroll for her blog), so if I'm not around for some reason, head to her blog and ask her a commenty question as needed. I am pretty good about responding, but hey, stuff happens. I can be reached by leaving a comment here or on my Happy Weight After blog (comments go to email, unless they're spammy).

FEEL FREE TO GRAB THE BADGE THAT OPENED THIS POST FOR YOUR BLOG. I know it's kinda lame, but a visual artiste, I am not. I'm a wordsmith, not a picturesmith. :D  Use it or not. Create a better one! ETA: Bluezy created a badge way more creative and artistic and attractive than mine. Feel free to grab that, too.

All right. Post your questions, requests. INCLUDE YOUR BLOG URL with your request.

Happy holidays to all. I wish you much joy with your loved ones. Be well...and I'll see y'all soon.

I'd love to be considered for this challenge. I haven't posted on my blog regular for a few months now, mainly because I didn't feel accountable to anyone. I know that goes both ways, but I really think I would benefit from this challenge and would love to be there to support others, as well.
Merry Christmas to you, too!

I am going to ask that you consider me for this next challenge. I will be trying my best whether you agree or not but I do feel that knowing that you are watching will keep me on the straight and narrow.....also we have no plans to go anywhere until May when we will be going to my son's graduation in Calif. I would love to look better and be in some of those pictures rather than be the one taking the pictures. If not I hope we will be able to follow along. Thanks Tobi

I want to put a word in for the commenter "Casey". She lives in my town in Paraguay and I know she needs this challenge to help her. I know she will be honest and try her best to support. If you still have room for one more, please consider her, ok? Thanks Mir!

I'm ready to go! Just tying up some loose ends and looking for my tape measure.

I'd like to join. I blog every day, I'm honest about my issues and I need a good challenge. I'm doing another one, but I like how this is so 'tight' and the rules. Consider me if you will. If the other challenge is a problem, that's fine.

I would like to join this challenge. I participated on another challenge, but that one ended in December (the same one, that Bluezy was in).
I already have to honestly say, that sometimes I'm not able to update my blog, when my VPN here is not working (but I can send my updates to my sister Betty, who will be part of this challenge as well). I live in China and I just have access to Blogspot or wordpress or Facebook with the help of a VPN, that is sort of a tunnel, that allows me to go unto blocked pages.
I have successfully lost 40 pounds in 2010, but the last remaining 10 pounds seem to be impossible to loose. I so much hope, that I could reach my goal with the help of this challenge.
My sister Betty has encouraged me to participate here and I so much hope, that there is still a free slot for me. My blog is www.chaquenhas-big-challenge.blogspot.com

I'd like to be considered for this challenge as well. I know I slacked off on the book department for the last challenge, BUT, I already have two books in hand, one that I'm working on right now, and one that Miss April and I are going to be doing together. Either way, I'll be supporting all of you!

Hope you had a great holiday :)

Okay, I've updated the blogroll.

Maren: Since you committed to Spring Chick, and Big Butt has rules quite similar to mine, just stick with that one. Those parameters will do you fine.

Okeedokee count me in please! This is the year. Pretty soon the summer here will be coming up with 110 degree desert heat and being overweight and in that kind of heat...omg!

Chinagirl said...

hey, princess dieter, where is the blogroll? Where can I check, if you accepted me? Sorry, I'm still a bit new to the blog world.

Betty W said...

Chinagirl/J., it´s on the right hand side of the blog.

That's absolutely fine. :) Good luck everyone :)

Hi Princess Dieter! I just found your blog and would like to be considered for this challenge. I have never done anything online like this before but I do blog on a regular basis and if anything I'm honest about my personal struggles. I like most have a bad body image and have tried just about every crazy weight loss plan out there. This year I want to focus on losing enough weight to be happy in my own skin while trying to live a healthy (mentally & physically) life. Here is the link to my blog. http://eabasideas.blogspot.com Thanks for considering me and good luck to all!

Hi again! I have created a new blog just for this challenge and new phase of my life. Is there anyway I can update this before the challenge starts? Here is the new blog http://216andcounting.blogspot.com

Thanks

While I am not ready to commit to this challenge, I would like to follow along on my own at home. Would that pose a problem?

Anything that helps you get fit on your own, by all means, use it. The linkies and buddy system and etc is only for challengers, though. But if you like the rules and want to try something like it on your own blog, by all means. Best to you...
